Hi, I'm

Isaque Elis

Backend & Full-stack Developer

I build APIs with Python/FastAPI and interfaces with React/TypeScript. Right now I'm deep into Rust, writing a native note-taking app from scratch.

01 · journey

From agribusiness to Rust

I didn't start in computing — and that shaped how I work: understand the user's problem before writing code. Each step below brought a different role and lesson.

  1. 2018

    Agribusiness Technician

IFRJ — Campus Pinheiral · Student

Technical high school far from computing: processes, quality, production.

What I took away → Thinking in processes and about who is on the other side of the product.

  2. 2022

    Switching to tech

UFRRJ → FATEC São José dos Campos · Computer Science → Systems Analysis

Started Computer Science at UFRRJ and moved to Systems Analysis & Development at FATEC, drawn by its real-client projects.

What I took away → Learning fast on my own — Python, Flask, Linux.

  3. 2023

    Leading teams

VAPT · SOGAP · Scrum Master & Dev

Two semesters as Scrum Master. On SOGAP, for Ionic Health, I also set up Docker/Nginx and real-time updates over WebSockets.

What I took away → Unblocking the team is worth more than individual heroics.

  4. 2024

    First product in production

    Papel Social · Full-stack

25 pages, a news publisher and an interactive map. Next.js on Cloudflare Workers, FastAPI on AWS EC2, S3 and PostgreSQL on RDS. In parallel, PO of Climatrack.

What I took away → Ownership of a system real people depend on.

  5. 2025

    Data and AI

WideData · Auxia · Frontend / Backend Dev

Delta Lake with PySpark at WideData; RAG, JWT/OAuth2 and PyTest on Auxia. Graduated in Systems Analysis.

What I took away → Designing backends with tests in mind from day one.

  6. 2026

    Enterprise integration

    SPS Group · Developer

POS integration with SAP Business One: items, prices and taxes, NFC-e receipt monitoring and reprocessing, n8n automations.

What I took away → Shipping inside a large legacy system without breaking things.

  7. 2026

    Anotadinho

    Rust · Tauri · Yew · Author

A native note editor written in Rust, from the parser to an MCP server.

What I took away → Systems thinking, ownership and testing discipline at scale.

02 · featured project

Anotadinho

A native, offline-first Markdown note editor inspired by Obsidian and Logseq. A personal project I use to really learn Rust: crate-based architecture, tests, a CLI, a TUI and an MCP server for AI agents.

Your data is just files

Everything lives in .md files with YAML frontmatter. The 9 interactive embed types use a {{ type: "X" }} syntax that never collides with CommonMark, so files stay readable in any editor.

AI proposes, human decides

The MCP server (JSON-RPC over stdio) gives agents like Claude Code direct read access to the vault — but the only write tool is "propose". Changes land on a review screen and only hit disk after a human click.

Cycle-driven development

The project evolves in cycles, not loose commits: each cycle reads a task, implements it, runs tests, checks acceptance criteria and records status. That keeps 800+ tests green across 55k lines.

One core, three interfaces

The same Rust core powers the desktop app (Tauri + Yew/WASM, ~1 MB vs ~100 MB for Electron), the CLI and the terminal TUI.

SPS Group ↗

POS integration with SAP Business One

  • ›Automated per-branch item registration from SAP B1 to the POS (different codes per store), with prices, taxes and promotions — replacing a manual process done by consultants.
  • ›Created monitoring for NFC-e receipt integration, in the format defined by the consultants.
  • ›Developed a reprocessing screen for failed receipts, showing the error and SAP stock.
  • ›Added tabs to the Foods settings screen and evolved Prisma schemas in the Node.js backend.
  • ›Learned n8n and the POS APIs to build the NFC-e receipt integration flows.
